ASUS have just released the Nordic launch dates (August) and price of two of their Eee Seashell netbooks: the 1101H at 11.6 (3,199 DKK/3,699 NOK/4,499 SEK) and the 1005HA at 10.1 inches (2,499 DKK/2,999 NOK/3,499 SEK or 2,799 DKK/3,399 NOK/3,999 SEK). The latter comes in two different versions where the major difference is the display - glossy or anti-glare - and obviously the price.
As with all netbooks the focus is primarily on mobility and that they do pretty well - the 1101H weighs in at 1.38kg and sports a battery life of 9.5 hours with a 6-celled battery while the 1005HA weighs in at 1.27kg and sports a battery life of 8.5-10.5 hours. You can also opt for a 3-cell battery solution on the 1005HA, in which case you'll reduce the weight to 1.1kg at the cost of a shorter battery life.
In terms of design they look quite good - ASUS claim they're inspired by the shape of a seashell, but whether they look like it is debatable (they don't, really). The keyboards are 92% of full size which is pretty standard, and the touchpads have multi-touch features such as zoom.
Otherwise there isn't much new; however they are the first ASUS Eee netbooks to come with the new Eee Docking software suite. This consists of Eee @Vibe (a multimedia center of sorts), Eee Sharing (software used to synchronize and share data between Eee PC's), Eee Xperience (a number of applications that should enhance the audio-visual aspects of the computer) and Eee Tools (a number of tools which can, for example, be used for parental controls and changing display sizes).
