Asus logo Asus have launched their latest "UnLimited" notebook, a sleek little thing at 13.3 inches. It features the well-known ultrathin design and a handsome lid in brushed aluminium, plus a solid collection of hardware that makes it quite versatile.

If you are a casual gamer, you will be pleased to know it has a dedicated Nvidia GPU, namely the GeForce GT310M. It should easily run games like World of Warcraft, Sims or Counter Strike, but it is classified as an entry-level card and is not well-suited for more demanding games like Crysis or GTA IV.

It also comes with Nvidia's Optimus technology, which is used to switch between the integrated and dedicated GPU. The entire process is automatic, so the discrete GPU will only be turned on when it is needed. That ensures a constant optimisation of performance and battery life, the latter of which can go up to 9.5 hours.

All in all a fine package at the price, although it will inevitably cost more when it comes to Europe.
