Asus logo Asus revealed some new goodies at Computex today, a foursome of laptops for gamers. Asus Lamborghini VX6 is a smaller device with a brand new Intel Atom processor while VX7, G53 and G73Jw are for more serious gaming.

Asus Lamborghini VX6

Technically a netbook, but without a doubt a powerful one. It is equipped with an Atom D525 processor that was just introduced by Intel today - it offers two cores clocked to 1.83GHz and supports DDR3 RAM.

Of that you get up to 4GB, and along with the next generation of Nvidia's ION platform, the device should be able to handle a fair bit of gaming. VX6 has a 12.1 inch display (LED-backlit, 1366 x 768 pixels).

Other specs include Windows 7 Home Premium, 250/320GB hard drive, draft-N WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 6-celled battery that should be able to last for up to 7.5 hours. There is also USB 3.0 (up to 10x faster than USB 2.0) and B&O ICEpower audio.

Asus Lamborghini VX7

The larger model with a 15.6 inch screen (full HD - 1920 x 1080 pixels) comes with a Core i3, i5 or i7 processor and up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM. We do not know much more about this device.

Asus G53

Another gamer at 15.6 inches with an LED-lit 3D display, running an "HD" resolution. Like the VX7, it is powered by a Core i3/i5/i7 processor with up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM. Graphics are handled by Nvidia; there are no specifics, but the card should be made for "enthusiasts" so we expect a powerful one.

Otherwise there is a Blu-ray drive, two hard drives (or SSD), USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4.

Asus G73Jw

Not many details have been offered regarding this device, other than it has a 17.3 inch display and runs a full HD resolution. It would not surprise us, however, if the remaining specs were like the G53.

Asus have not been big on sharing release dates and prices, other than the G53 should arrive in Q3.
